Louisiana Sports Betting
In April 2019, Senate Bill 153, introduced by Sen. Danny Martiny (R – Metairie), was approved by a Senate panel. The bill would legalize betting on college and professional sports at Louisiana's 15 riverboat casinos, the land-based casino in New Orleans and four racetracks. It would also allow for on-property mobile sports wagering. Lawmakers did not pass the bill before the deadline, so there will be no sports betting in Louisiana in 2019.
